Light Every Day Make Up - Summer Edition Featuring Jackie Dixon

 Products used:
Clinique Moisture Surge CC Cream - Light Medium
Avon Make Up Setting Spray (Not pictured)
Dior Rosy Glow Blusher
Dior Rose Diamond Shimmer Powder
Smashbox Limitless 15 Hour Cream Shadow - Quartz
Avon Luxe Eyeliner - Black Luxury
Avon Spectra Lash Mascara - Black (Not pictured)

Today I did a light summery make up look on my mum, I kept the base light by using a CC cream and only subtle blusher and highlighter. I used cream eyeshadow as a base as Mum often complains about eyeshadow creasing. I blended shadows from Naked 3 over the top and lined her Lashes. The make up lasted on a hot day where we went for a rather long walk!

Current Beauty Must Haves

1. Lush Celestial Moisturiser - Really good for sensitive skin, it does not irritate my eczema and leaves my skin hydrated.
2. Bioderma Crealine H20 Solution Micellaire - Great for removing make up and refreshing the skin.
3. Batiste Dry Shampoo Light and Blonde - Refreshes my hair between washes and helps with roots between highlights.
4. Maybelline Express Remover - Nail Polish Remover - This is a great product, it is really quick and effective, even removes the majority of glitter polish.
5. Dior Rosy Glow Blush - Makes my face look fresher, makes me look awake even if I have not had much sleep.
6. Dior Addict Lip Glow - Really moisturisers my lips and gives them a nice pink tint.
7. Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer (010 Ivory) Also helps on the days where I haven't had much sleep. I did not get on with the foundation but love the concealer.
8. Primark Pointed Tweezers - Great for getting even the shortest eyebrow hairs. Even better when used with my NO7 Light Up Mirror.
9. Benefit They're Real - A new addition to my make up bag, I will be purchasing a full size of this mascara when I finish my sample as it is fantastic, It makes my eyelashes longer and thicker while still looking defined.
10. Diorshow Brow Styler (001 Universal Brown) This product makes my eyebrows look so much better, My eyebrows are rather fair and look invisible in areas.

Katy Perry Inspired Make Up (2011 Grammy Awards)

I decided to recreate Katy Perry's make up look from the 2011 Grammy's for a friends BBQ. It was a lovely summers day so I thought it was time to experiment with a bit of colour. Firstly I applied my foundation (Max Factor Miracle Touch - Creamy Ivory 40) with a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush,
Then I applied my Collection Lasting Perfection (1-Fair) to any blemishes and blended with a Real Techniques Setting brush.
I then applied Rimmel London's Wake Me Up Concealer ( 010 Ivory) with the same brush as before under my eyes.
I applied my Blusher (Fashionista Shade 1 - Rose Shine) to the apples of my cheeks with my Real Techniques Blusher Brush.
I then applied my highlighter (Soap and Glory Glow All Out) with my Stila Highlighter Brush.
Firstly I applied Shade 17 from the MUA Immaculate Collection to my eyelid and blended up to the crease with shade 9. I also blended a tiny bit of Faint from Urban Decay Naked Basics to define the crease. I used shade 1 under my eyes on a pointed Real Techniques Eyeliner Brush.

I applied Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner (01 Black) to my upper lash line on a Model Co Eyeliner brush.
I then used Benefit's They're Real Mascara on my eyelashes.

I filled in my eyebrows with my Dior Show Eyebrow styler (001 Universal Brown) as Katy always has super defined eyebrows.

Lastly I applied my lipstick, a classic Katy Perry Shade. It's a Mac Satin Lipstick in the shade Pink Noveau.

Face and Outfit Of The Day - Pink Edition

Blouse M&S Outlet - £25
Leggings M&S Outlet £7.50
Shoes - Primark £6

I recently treated myself to a new hot pink blouse from M&S. It is from the Autograph collection and is comfortable and easy to wear while still being stylish. I paired it with my usual Black leggings and new peep toe shoes in a black Suede like material. I wanted to do a make up look with it that wouldn't be too much with the bright pink blouse. I adapted my everyday make up look and added a new eyeshadow and eyeliner. I got the eyeliner free in this months Glamour Magazine (July 2014)
Firstly I primed my skin using Benefit The Porefessional and then Applied Dior Skin Nude (010) with my fingers, I find this foundation has a nicer result when applied with your fingers rather than a brush. I then applied Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer (010 Ivory) under my eyes and blended with my fingers and applied Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer (1 Fair) on any blemishes. I applied Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder (002 Pink Blossom) all over my face using a Real Techniques Powder Brush.
I applied Dior Rosy Glow Blush (001 Petal) to the apples of my cheeks with a Real Tecniques Blusher brush and highlighted with The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer with a Stila Highlighter Brush.
I filled in my eyebrows with Dior Show Brow Styler (001 Universal Brown) and then combed through them. I applied Mac Pro Longwear paint pot (Let's Skate!) to my eyelids up to my brow bone and blended with a Body Shop Eyeshadow Blending Brush. I applied Mac Veluxe Pearl Eyeshadow (All That Glitters) to my eyelid with a Real Techniques Blending Brush to add a bit more colour to my eyes. I lined my upper and lower lashline using Eyeko Skinny Liquid Liner (Navy) and then used Benefit They're Real on my eyelashes.

I finished off my look with my favourite Lip Balm, Dior Addict Lip Glow (Pink).

Mac Lipstick Collection

I only bought my first Mac Lipstick 2 years ago but I have quickly built up a good collection of 15 lipsticks. I work round the corner from a Cosmetic Company Outlet so I have managed to get a good discount on a lot of them. I will mark any Outlet lipsticks with a * as they may be harder to get.

Supremely Confident* is a Sheen Supreme Lipstick, It is a nude. I can only wear this lipstick lightly and then pressed in to my lips, otherwise it drains me out.

Secret Lover* is a lustre lipstick, it is a gold toned nude with a slight shimmer. It is also best worn lightly but would make a good going out lipstick.

Hue* is a Glaze lipstick it is a peachy toned nude. I have to wear this lipstick very lightly as it can look like “Concealer Lips”.

Summer Shower* is a Glaze Lipstick, it is a green lipstick with an iridescent shimmer. It does not come out green on the lips, It just looks clear with a blue toned shimmer. This lipstick is best worn over another lipstick or balm.

Win Win* is a Dazzle Lipstick, It is a very shimmery pink which is great for nights out.

Giddy* is a lustre lipstick it is a slightly coral toned pink it has no shimmer or glitter, It is perfect for a daytime lipstick.

Pink Pearl Pop is a Cremesheen lipstick, it is a classic bright pink.  I wear this one as a daytime and night time lipstick.

Pink Noveau is a Satin Lipstick. I think it seems like a darker version of Pink Pearl Pop. It is a shade that is often worn by Katy Perry, Especially on her California Dreams Tour.

Chatterbox is an Amplified finish Lipstick. It is a bright coral toned pink. I enjoy wearing this lipstick on sunny days but can be worn in the evening.

Lickable is a cremesheen Lipstick, It is a deep berry pink. I have only worn it as an evening lipstick.

Love Forever!* Is a Longwear Lipcreme, it is a purple toned pink. I haven’t worn this lipstick out yet but I would keep it as an evening lipstick.

1     Lady Danger* is a matte lipstick, It is an orange toned red. I do not think this lipstick suits me therefore I have not worn it out yet.

Party Parrot* is a matte lipstick, it is a vibrant pink toned red that would look great on holiday.
Show Orchid* is an Amplified finish lipstick. It is a blue toned hot pink. It was my first Mac Lipstick and it is my favourite. It  is mainly an evening lipstick but I have also worn it in the daytime. It is probably best to use a lip liner with it. I use Mac’s Lip liner in Embrace me.

Rebel is a satin lipstick, it is a deep purple. It is the darkest lipstick I own.  This one I feel  can only be worn for certain occasions. I have only worn it out once so far when I went to see Russell Brand but I have used it for a make up tutorial. I use the Maybelline Colour Sensational lip liner 338 Midnight Plum with it. This lipstick goes on better when you use a Lipbrush.

I feel like I have a good range of colours but would love to get more bright fun mac lipsticks.
