Birthday OOTD

So this week I hit the big 23. To celebrate I went to the cinema with Mum and my sister Charlotte to see Bad Neighbous with Zac Efron and Seth Rogen. I was probably over-dressed for the cinema but I really liked the dress, It was comfy to wear and the pattern is fun and girly.

The Dress was a bargain, I got it in Primark for £5. The sandals were also from Primark for £4. I changed  in to my Croc Sandals later on as they are much comfier. My Lipstick is Pink Pearl Pop by Mac.

Spring Shopping Look

Spring has finally sprung here in Portsmouth so I decided to embrace it with spring hair, make up and an outfit.

I am wearing a Floral Tunic Dress (Primark £5) Black Leggings (M&S Outlet £7.50) Croc Sandals (Crocs £30) and a Silver watch (Primark £5) I waved my hair using my GHD Straighteners.

If it was sunny I would also add my sunglasses which I bought in a Boutique in Paris, The style name is Stray Cat. They cost me roughly 8 Euros.
For my make up I went for my normal look with my Dior Skin Nude foundation (N10), Rimmel Wake Me up Concealer (Ivory) and Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer (Light) but then I used Benefit's Dandelion Blush and Mac's Beauty Powder (A80 Light Sunshine) for more of a subtle look as I was going for a brighter lip. I filled in my eyebrows with my Dior Brow Styler (001 Universal Brown) I used The Urban Decay Naked 3 Pallette on my eyes, I Used the Colour Liar and my eyelid and blended it in to the crease. I lined my eyes with Eyeko London Skini mini Liquid Eyeliner (Black) and applied Max Factor Masterpiece Mascara (Black) to my Eyelashes. I then applied Chatterbox Lipstick by mac on to my lips by using my finger first then I applied it directly with the lipstick bullet after. I find this lipstick applies better this way.

Top 5 Perfumes

5. Paris Hilton Can Can Eau De Parfum (100ml £20.99 www.amazon.co.uk)

This is a perfect day time scent, It is a mix of fruity and floral and basically smells like a big bowl of sweets. The smell lasts all day and I always get compliments when I wear it. I originally bought it in TJ Maxx in Florida but will repurchase when I finish my current bottle.

4. Katy Perry Purr Eau de Parfum (100ml £13.99 Amazon.co.uk)
This is my perfect going out perfume, It is quite a strong evening scent. It's main notes are Peach, Apple and Green Bamboo. However it smells more floral on my skin.

3. Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Eau de toillette (125ml £55.98 Amazon.co.uk)

I bought this perfume in duty free on the way to Florida so to me it smells like Holidays. As it says in the name it is a really fresh floral scent, it is really light and easy to wear during the day. I prefer to wear this one during the summer on my days off.

2. Katy Perry Killer Queen Oh So Sheer  Eau de Parfum (£35.25 100ml Amazon.co.uk)
This version of Killer Queen is so much easier to wear than the original. The original did not react well to me at all, It smelt horrible on me. This version is much lighter and more day time appropriate, It is a floral-fruity fragrance with notes of berries, plums, velvet red flower jasmine, freesia and plumeria. Kashmir wood, liquid praline, caramel and patchouli to give it a nice mixture.

1. Taylor Swift Wonderstruck Enchanted Eau de Parfum (£31.01 100ml Amazon.co.uk)

This is my all time favourite any time perfume. It's described as an oriental vanilla perfume for young women but it smells so much better than that. I think it smells like a black forest gateaux. I get a lot of compliments when I wear this perfume but I wear it so often I can't smell it on myself anymore. It is one of those scents that reminds me of a memory. I wore it each time I saw Russell Brand Messiah Complex as I clearly couldn't wear my usual night out perfume..

Project Fit - My Story

Over the past six months I have been trying to get my health and fitness back on track as I had previously gained a lot of weight from Chronic Lumbar Dysfunction (Inflamed Lower Disc) and Scoliosis. I was prescribed a lot of painkillers to deal with the pain but nothing was being done to sort out the actual problem. I had been told by a professional that I had "pulled a muscle" and that it would get better. Nearly 18 months later I was still being prescribed painkillers and the pain wasn't getting any easier. By the August I decided to do something. I started visiting a Chiropractor twice a week. He diagnosed the problem and put together a care plan, my visits to the Chiropractor cut down to once a week, once a fortnight and now I'm going once every eight weeks.

Before at my heaviest 12st 7 : Dress size 14/16
By the October I felt ready to cut out the painkillers all together. The side effects of coming off were horrible, I lost half a stone in the first week. But after that week I felt so much better, I felt fresher like I had so much more energy. I knew that I only had 2 weeks until I saw Russell Brand for the first time and I wanted to look "Fit" (Hence the name Project Fit) I started exercising using the wii fit. I started off with simple exercises such as Yoga and cycling but then as I progressed I moved on to doing 10 minutes of Hula Hooping, 10 Minutes of Running, 10 minutes of Boxing 30 minutes of cycling followed by 90 squats and 100 jack knives.

October 16th 2013: 11st 7 Size 14:
I did a complete over-haul of my diet. I no-longer snacked in the evenings or ate sweets or chocolate. I cut out a lot of the rubbish that I used to eat.

November 27th 2013: 11st 2 - Size 12
I have managed to keep up my routine of eating well and not snacking and I exercise when I can.

February 28th 2014 - 9st 13 Size 8-10

March 25th 2014 - 9st 7lb's Size 8-10
My goal for the next 6 months is to remain fit, healthy and happy.

Work Appropriate Make Up

It's hard to get the balance right when it comes to work make up. You want to make it look like you've made an effort and put make up on but you don't want to look like a giant disco ball about to head to the club. Also the difficult part of work make up is co-ordinating it with your uniform which is not a problem if you wear all black.

Before:

I decided to go for a neutral look with a slightly sparkly eye and highlighted cheeks. I toned the look down by wearing a plain pink lip balm and blush and no eyeliner.

Firstly I primed my skin with Benefit Porefessional and then applied Max Factor Miracle Touch Liquid Illusion Foundation (Creamy Ivory - 40) using my real techniques expert face brush. I find this foundation does need blending further with your hands to warm it up. I then dotted Benefit Stay Don't Stray (light-medium) under my eyes and applied Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer (010 - Ivory) over the top with a Real Techniques Setting Brush. I then dotted Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer (1 - light) where I needed it and blended it with the same brush.

I then applied M&S Limited Collection Blusher in Melba Blush (w4) to the apples of my cheeks with a Real Techniques Duo Fibre Face Brush. I then applied M&S Limited Collection Bronzer (Light) to the hollows of my cheeks with a Real Techniques Retractable Bronzer Brush. I highlighted my cheeks with Gold By Giles Highlighter (Pleasure) from New Look and blended it in using a Real Techniques Pointed Foundation Brush.

I then filled in my eyebrows lightly with DiorShow Brow Styler (001 - Universal Brown) and brushed through them with the spooly provided. I then dotted Benefit Stay Don't Stray (light-medium) on my eyes and then applied Smashbox Limitless 15 Hour Wear Cream Eyeshadow (Quartz) over my eyelids and in to the crease using a Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush. I finished the look by applying Maybelline the Falsies Flared Mascara (Black) and Dior Addict Lip Glow.

All Products mentioned were paid for by me and any views are my own. Apologies for poor lighting, I will be investing in a new camera soon!
