Work Appropriate Make Up

It's hard to get the balance right when it comes to work make up. You want to make it look like you've made an effort and put make up on but you don't want to look like a giant disco ball about to head to the club. Also the difficult part of work make up is co-ordinating it with your uniform which is not a problem if you wear all black.

Before:

I decided to go for a neutral look with a slightly sparkly eye and highlighted cheeks. I toned the look down by wearing a plain pink lip balm and blush and no eyeliner.

Firstly I primed my skin with Benefit Porefessional and then applied Max Factor Miracle Touch Liquid Illusion Foundation (Creamy Ivory - 40) using my real techniques expert face brush. I find this foundation does need blending further with your hands to warm it up. I then dotted Benefit Stay Don't Stray (light-medium) under my eyes and applied Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer (010 - Ivory) over the top with a Real Techniques Setting Brush. I then dotted Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer (1 - light) where I needed it and blended it with the same brush.

I then applied M&S Limited Collection Blusher in Melba Blush (w4) to the apples of my cheeks with a Real Techniques Duo Fibre Face Brush. I then applied M&S Limited Collection Bronzer (Light) to the hollows of my cheeks with a Real Techniques Retractable Bronzer Brush. I highlighted my cheeks with Gold By Giles Highlighter (Pleasure) from New Look and blended it in using a Real Techniques Pointed Foundation Brush.

I then filled in my eyebrows lightly with DiorShow Brow Styler (001 - Universal Brown) and brushed through them with the spooly provided. I then dotted Benefit Stay Don't Stray (light-medium) on my eyes and then applied Smashbox Limitless 15 Hour Wear Cream Eyeshadow (Quartz) over my eyelids and in to the crease using a Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush. I finished the look by applying Maybelline the Falsies Flared Mascara (Black) and Dior Addict Lip Glow.

All Products mentioned were paid for by me and any views are my own. Apologies for poor lighting, I will be investing in a new camera soon!
