Over the past six months I have been trying to get my health and fitness back on track as I had previously gained a lot of weight from Chronic Lumbar Dysfunction (Inflamed Lower Disc) and Scoliosis. I was prescribed a lot of painkillers to deal with the pain but nothing was being done to sort out the actual problem. I had been told by a professional that I had "pulled a muscle" and that it would get better. Nearly 18 months later I was still being prescribed painkillers and the pain wasn't getting any easier. By the August I decided to do something. I started visiting a Chiropractor twice a week. He diagnosed the problem and put together a care plan, my visits to the Chiropractor cut down to once a week, once a fortnight and now I'm going once every eight weeks.
Before at my heaviest 12st 7 : Dress size 14/16
By the October I felt ready to cut out the painkillers all together. The side effects of coming off were horrible, I lost half a stone in the first week. But after that week I felt so much better, I felt fresher like I had so much more energy. I knew that I only had 2 weeks until I saw Russell Brand for the first time and I wanted to look "Fit" (Hence the name Project Fit) I started exercising using the wii fit. I started off with simple exercises such as Yoga and cycling but then as I progressed I moved on to doing 10 minutes of Hula Hooping, 10 Minutes of Running, 10 minutes of Boxing 30 minutes of cycling followed by 90 squats and 100 jack knives.

Work Appropriate Make Up
It's hard to get the balance right when it comes to work make up. You want to make it look like you've made an effort and put make up on but you don't want to look like a giant disco ball about to head to the club. Also the difficult part of work make up is co-ordinating it with your uniform which is not a problem if you wear all black.
Before:
I decided to go for a neutral look with a slightly sparkly eye and highlighted cheeks. I toned the look down by wearing a plain pink lip balm and blush and no eyeliner.
Firstly I primed my skin with Benefit Porefessional and then applied Max Factor Miracle Touch Liquid Illusion Foundation (Creamy Ivory - 40) using my real techniques expert face brush. I find this foundation does need blending further with your hands to warm it up. I then dotted Benefit Stay Don't Stray (light-medium) under my eyes and applied Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer (010 - Ivory) over the top with a Real Techniques Setting Brush. I then dotted Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer (1 - light) where I needed it and blended it with the same brush.
I then applied M&S Limited Collection Blusher in Melba Blush (w4) to the apples of my cheeks with a Real Techniques Duo Fibre Face Brush. I then applied M&S Limited Collection Bronzer (Light) to the hollows of my cheeks with a Real Techniques Retractable Bronzer Brush. I highlighted my cheeks with Gold By Giles Highlighter (Pleasure) from New Look and blended it in using a Real Techniques Pointed Foundation Brush.
I then filled in my eyebrows lightly with DiorShow Brow Styler (001 - Universal Brown) and brushed through them with the spooly provided. I then dotted Benefit Stay Don't Stray (light-medium) on my eyes and then applied Smashbox Limitless 15 Hour Wear Cream Eyeshadow (Quartz) over my eyelids and in to the crease using a Real Techniques Deluxe Crease Brush. I finished the look by applying Maybelline the Falsies Flared Mascara (Black) and Dior Addict Lip Glow.
All Products mentioned were paid for by me and any views are my own. Apologies for poor lighting, I will be investing in a new camera soon!

Katy Perry Unconditionally Make Up Look
Because I am obviously such a good Russell Brand fan, I recreated Katy Perry's make up look from the Unconditionally music video when I went to the Messiah complex show. Photo credit to Capitol records.
Firstly I prepped my skin using Organic Surge Super Intestive Daily Moisturiser for Dry Skin and also used vaseline on my lips.
I then used Benefit Porefessional to prime my skin and then buffed Dior Skin Nude in N10 on my skin using a Real Techniques Buffing Brush. I then used Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in 010 Ivory and Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer in 1- Fair using a Real Techniques Setting Brush. I then set this using the MUA Pressed Powder in Shade 1 on a Real Techniques Powder Brush.
I then filled in my eyebrows using my Diorshow Brow Styler in 001 Universal brown. I then applied Dior Rosy Glow Blusher using a Real Techniques Blusher Brush and then Highlighted with The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer Highlighter on a Stila 24A tapered highlighter brush.
I used Benefit Stay Don't Stray in Light/Medium to prime my eyelids and then Used Naked 2 from Urban Decay Naked Basics on my eyelids using a Mac 217 blending brush. I then blended Faint in to my crease. I used Eyeko London Skinny Mini Liquid Eyeliner in Black to Line my upper lash line and then applied Maybelline the Falsies Flared in Black to my eyelashes.
Finally I lined my lips using Maybelline Colour Sensational lip liner 338 Midnight Plum and then used a Real Tecniques Retractable Lip brush to apply Mac Rebel.

Outfit Of The Day - Russell Brand Messiah Complex -28-02-14 Portsmouth Guildhall
On the 28th of February I went with my Mum, Charlotte and Victoria to see Russell Brand live in Portsmouth. Obviously you have to dress up for the occassion, so I wore a white and black striped cut out top from Primark (£7), Leather Look Leggings from New Look (£22.99) and block heeled boots from H&M (£34.99). I will be showing the make up in more detail in my next post.
In the show Messiah Complex, Russell talks about his idols, Ghandi, Che Guevara, Malcolm X and Jesus and tries to SUBTLY convince the audience that he is a bit like them. It is a great show filled with "clever bits" which will give you the "clever person glow" if you already know them and, of course, it's filled with plenty of rude bits!
I would reccomend Russell to anyone, but it's probably not wise to sit with your parents. You will also not be able to eat yoghurt or McDonalds again, or look at your cat the same way.
